A2Z Meme...

So, big oopsie. I forgot to post a meme last week. Uh oh! :(

Well, my letter G is going to be Grandparents. I personally think that fits considering all that has gone on with MY Grandparents.

First I will start off by saying that it has now been 10 weeks since my Pop-pop died (he was only 73, if memory serves). I miss him ever day, some days more than others. I'm not quite sure how my Mom-mom is faring with all of the stuff that needs to be taken care of, I know she was having some issues with that stuff but I don't know.

Now, my other grandparents are a mess. My Grandpa is 4 months short of his 88th birthday. He has Parkinson's disease (the same disease that Michael J. Fox has) and it's slowly getting worse. He can't walk very well anymore and falls a lot.

Speaking of which, Last Valentine's day was his and my grandmother's anniversary of their engagement so they had gone out for dinner. When they were leaving the cars were parked too close together and he couldn't get through so my grandmother moved the car. Grandpa tripped over the parking thing and fell. He hit the back of his head and it's pretty well bruised. Of course at this point no fall he ever has will ever be as bad as the one a few years ago when he fell off the ladder and broke 9 ribs... At least I hope not.

Well then 2 days after he fell my grandmother rear-ended another car. She was stopped at a stop light and thinking to herself. I suppose after a while she thought she'd been sitting there too long and that it must be a green light and started to go and then hit the car in front of her. It wasn't really bad or anything and the car damage is very minimal.

Anyway... my Grandparents are a mess!

A2Z . . . This week the letter E

Hey that rhymed! Well, just pointing out the obvious.

The letter E is giving me a bit of difficulty this week.

. . . Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeek!

Alright, I've decided I will write about Eggs. I like eggs. They are good stuff. Surprisingly, I never really appreciated or notice my love of eggs until I went on a trip to Cape Cod with my Aunt, grandmother and one of my Aunts friends.

I was getting sick on the trip a lot and especially in the morning. My Aunt wondered if I was waking up hungry and had low blood sugar, which most definitely makes you sick. Headaches, shaking, anxiety, nausea and vomiting are just a few of the side effects. My Aunt told me I should eat more protein and smaller meals more often as well.

Did you know? Rotten eggs float.

One night on the trip she decided to make eggs for her and myself. She scrambled them and put cheese on there and then served it on a piece of whole wheat toast. Needless to say it was delicious. I fell in love with it. That was probably the first time I appreciated and fell in love with eggs.

Ever since then I will eat eggs of any kind just about. Scrambled. Fried. Omelet. Hard boiled. Deviled. Anything except sunny side up.

I think I'm going to go make me some eggs now. . . I'm hungry!

Well... I'm continuing on in the A2Z memes and I am going to post some pictures that I drew. Some of these pictures may look familiar to some of you but either way I thought this would be fun. Since I have a cold and am under the weather, I need some fun! :)

 I actually have a friend who collects swords, so I drew this for her.

I love dogs, so I thought I'd try my hand at a husky/wolf dog.

Tinkerbell! I guess I just wanted to draw a cartoon with this one. I gave this picture to one of my friends and she has it hanging in her room in a frame. She also has a picture of Dopey I drew for her for her birthday. Dopey is her favorite character from Snow White.

C ... is for cookie

 that's good enough for me! :)

This is my first Meme ever, so I decided to go with something simple and sort of cute. I have always loved cookies. Usually chocolate chip cookies too. Hey, do I get extra points for three C's? Heehee. :)

My parents always told me when I was little I had a very good imagination. I always came up with cute little stories and only things a child's mind could conjure up.

One thing I remember myself, I was probably younger than five years old and I used to think that Heaven was a cookie factory. I thought that when we died we became an Angel and go to Heaven, where all these cookies were being made. There would even be conveyor belts with cookies on them and there would be multiples for each type of cookie. I had decided that when I died I would be one of the Angels that kept an eye on the Chocolate chip cookie conveyor belt... and maybe sneak one here or there. In reality, I knew Heaven wasn't really this way. I was just sort of having fun with it in my head.

Keeping with the cookie theme... Just recently I was looking through my baby book. My mom had written in there that she found that I enjoyed helping her bake cookies. I was probably around 3 or 4 years old. She had written that she would walk away for a minute and when she'd come back I would have my hands in the cookie dough, nibbling away. Of course, she would say something to me and I would just give her a big grin.

So, I suppose I really have always loved cookies and that is good enough for me! :)
